CPLD Firmware Updates

The CPLD has to be updated outside the OS environment using a bootable USB drive or creating a bootable ISO image and uploading the image to the IDRAC virtual media. This can be done using the Dell 32-bit Diagnostics Utility (download).

Run the executable and extract its contents. Once extracted, DDDP will automatically start. Close it or select "Finished Creating Diagnostic Media".

Download/Move the desired firmware to the DIAGS folder in the installation path. Dell Driver's and Downloads

Run DDDP.exe and create an ISO ("Create a Bootable CD" option). Mount the ISO as virtual media and boot from it.

Choose option 4 (Quit) when prompted at the menu.
