As the manual also says, hit appropriate keys during boot and configure the management/IPMI card using an external monitor and kb. There are a few different options detailed in the manual to initially configure console/IPMI access over ethernet or serial link using the management interface. Main thing is to be aware that by default Solaris will boot to a serial console. Choose the "vga" option from the grub menu to start and configure Solaris using a vga monitor and usb keyboard.
