Nov 2008 T2 Hardware

Things that can happen whenever:

• configure PDUs power strips
• install power cords to PDUs
• label needed network cables
• get hostnames registered (figure out IPs to use)
• add nodes to ROCKS
• make labels for nodes, pdus, racks

Nov 11 Expand Switch Stack

On this Tuesday, we'll put the 3 new switches into the main stack. One switch will replace unit 1 and the other 2 will be located in rack 106 to expand the stack from 5 to 7 units.

Things that need to be ready to do this:

• switches, check firmware version, need config
• rack 106
• cx4 stacking cables. need to check existing and see which will be replaced
• modules, need to check which will need to be modified

Nov 18 Install New Computers

On this Tuesday, hopefully we can rack and install the computers.
